Our Main Goals
Who We Are
who we areOur MissionThe mission of the Travis Flores Children's Foundation is to provide computers to the many children that are quarantined in the hospital every day. The TFCF will also support education, financial aid, and try to help out families who's children are affected by life threatening illness'. The TFCF will eventually give funds for research and help in the race to find cures. We will accomplish this goal through donations, grants, fund raising, and teaming up with other business', corporations, and hospitals. The Travis Flores Children's Foundation just wants to help give hope and life back to sick children and their families as much as possible. How It StartedThe idea of this children's foundation was first thought of at a baseball game in the spring of 2004. Travis Flores was only thirteen years old, but he knew what his ideas could do for other children. He took a notebook and wrote everything down that he thought could be useful for a foundation. He drew different logo's and wrote down a motto, with hopes that eventually, all of this would have great positive impacts on children who have terminal illnesses. He wanted to give them hope and faith when they really need it the most. By January of 2006 the TFCF received a tax exempt status and was approved for a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization.
About Travis Flores
about travis floresEarly LifeAt just the young age of four months old, Travis Flores started facing serious medical problems that would extend throughout his life. At the time, Travis and his family were located in Southern California, but it wasn't long after his prognosis of five years that his family was left with a choice to stay there or move for a second opinion and perhaps better life. At two years of age, Travis and his family which consisted of his mother Teresa, father Tim and older brother Justin packed up a moved to a small town in Ohio with hopes of a less stressful lifestyle and a focused medical care care to treat Travis. It wasn't long before Travis reached the age of five and continued to grow, along with his family which now consisted of his younger brother Brandon. Travis saw age six and seven without ever being admitted to the hospital. That was until he turned eight. Travis was admitted to Cincinatti Children's Hospital Medical Center and that is where his mission in life was established, writing his children's book that was later published and read around the world and the idea for a more manageable hospital stay for kids in the hospital which later developed into the Travis Flores Children's Foundation. PresentTravis (now 20 years of age) is still the President of the Travis Flores Children's Foundation, overseeing decisions and projects in the mission to create a higher quality of life for terminally ill patients. He's a 2011 graduate of Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, earning his undergraduate degree in theatre (acting). He was accepted and will be attending NYU in the fall for a masters in science in nonprofit work, concentrating in fundraising.

Provide A World
The PROVIDE-A-W.O.R.L.D. (Way to Organize, Reflect, Learn & Document) program highlights the mission of this foundation and that is to provide a way for terminally ill patients to connect to the outside world during their isolating hospital stays. If asked, "What is the best way to stay organized, reflect on memories via video, pictures etc., instantly learn solutions to problems and document..." That answer would be "A Computer." So we are doing just that. Providing a W.O.R.L.D.

partnerWhat We Look ForThe Travis Flores Children's Foundation is always looking to make new partnerships. Right now, we are souly focused on our laptop/netbook program. We are looking for a computer company to partner with as well as high end corporations that can give annual grants. If either of these two catagories sounds like something that you could help with then please contact us about a partnership. If you do not fit one of those catagories that's OKAY! You can still become a partner and help with the development of our programs and idea's. As nice as it is to have a partner that will directly benefit our soul focus, it is just as nice to have a partner that is willing to donate and back us throughout our mission.
